Introduction

Hello Friends and Family,

This site is dedicated to you, the friends and family of Jim Meeks, who wish to keep up-to-date on his progress with his fight against cancer. As you probably already know, he was recently diagnosed with a sarcoma by a doctor at the Huntsman Cancer Institute, located on the campus of the University of Utah. Despite receiving such unexpected and untimely news, he and his immediate family have an upbeat and positive attitude.

We wish to thank all of you for everything which has been done so far, but there is still much to be accomplished. As such, we ask for your continued support in the form of thoughts and prayers. We will be updating this site on a (semi) regular basis so that everyone who loves Jim can keep apprised of the situation. Very soon you will also find relevant links regarding his specific type of sarcoma and the treatments he is undergoing. We hope to share some of our experiences and anecdotes throughout the process as well, including things on the lighter side. After all, for anyone who knows Jim well, you know he wouldn't want this to be a place of doom and gloom! We love you Dad!

Sincerely,
Clint Meeks (Jim's son)
and the rest of his immediate family

This morning, I went to the Easter Sunrise Service at our little county boat dock. As the sun rose over the horizon, we all sang an old hymn:
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow
Because He lives all fear is gone
Because I know He holds the future
And life is worth the living just because He lives.

God bless you, Jim Meeks!

Dear Jim and Beautiful Family,
What a great family picture and wonderful tribute to you, your family, friends..and us, your colleagues!
I would like to tell you, that even tho many have not posted on here..it doesn't mean that you are not in their thoughts and prayers. This is important for you to know.
I have only logged on today..after having seen the link just several days ago.
I would like you to know..that I have been thinking of you and your family since.
Know that you and your family are in my thoughts and daily prayers.
Hang in and keep the faith.
Mariah is a smart woman, getting that wonderful family picture together.
My best to you and your family.
And thank you for all the wonderful postings and info you have shared with us over the years on our prof org's website.
We have learned many things from you, and this too, is an ongoing lesson for us all in more ways than one.
Good luck, and keep the faith.
God bless.
Sincerely,
WanDa Santos Ciulla, RN, PA-C

God holds us in the palm of His hand. I know of no other place of safety in any time of storm. He has spoken the words that " I will never leave you or forsake you". When you think of the poem " Footprints" imagine that the Lord is now carrying your Dad on his shoulders. He will never become too heavy.
All of his friends in both the NP and the PA universe are keeping jim in our thoughts and our prayers. May your family find solace in this.
